Artist's Comments

So, after mulling it over a bit, I came up with this new Jhinn design. They have kept several of their alien features, but they appear a little more human this time around.

I think we're getting closer anyway. Clocksmith and Null reevaluations coming up next.

I like it, it works in the asymmetrics quite well and the difference in the facial tissue, too.

I only have two things, and one is a question. The first is a part of my obsession with spines; I'd really like to see some more delicate ones, with a bit of integration through the one side of the chest. The larger, more aggressive spines would fit better on a skinwalker (have I talked about those yet?).

My question, is about the limb/face aspect for the spines. Do you think that they should be alternating (left/right) or equal (left/left)? Having them on alternate sides fits better with the entire dominate-lobe argument, but having them on the same side of the body has both an interesting visual effect, and has ties to certain conditions resulting from an altered embryo.

Well, I can certainly do more spine integration and they would probably work better if they remained on one side of the being. That way, it's more noticable as a "defect".
